Welcome to Elton Brangus, owned and operated by the Elton Family. Situated in the Central West of New South Wales, Australia.
It is with a heavy heart we announce the Complete Dispersal of the Elton Family's Brangus herd. We have been proudly involved in the development of the Brangus breed over many years, especially in NSW.
We have made many friends over the time and thought we'd be involved for ever, but for personal reasons, we had to carefully assess our situation, our future and the future of our children. As a result dispersing the herd became a reality in February, and although it is hard to come to terms with, we'll do it with the enthusiasm we developed and bred the herd over many exciting years.
We are also excited about the opportunity to offer cattle that we know will go on and provide a sound basis for those new to the breed and those looking to increase their registered herds.
The sale will be conducted by Elders through Auctions Plus, on May 23rd, 2012. We will hold an Open Day on MAY 19th, for inspection of the Sale lots. We will exhibit cattle at Beef 2012 in Rockhampton, May 7 - 12. This web site will be updated with more details as they come to hand.
Our 2012 Sale bulls will not be included in the dispersal sale, but will be available privately in the paddock or through regular Brangus Sales during the year.

A Brief History
The Elton herd has been regularly subjected to extremes of environment and strict culling parameters, resulting in highly fertile functional cattle. The Registered herd was established in 2000 with a portion of the families Varunaco Brangus, first established in the early seventies.
The aim of the Elton herd is to produce consistent, high quality Brangus females capable of producing Brangus Bulls for the commercial industry.
Tools such as BREEDPLAN, Ultrasound Eye Muscle Area and Fat scanning are used for monitoring growth, milk and carcase quality. Artificial Insemination and Embryo Transfer technology with stringent culling are utilised regularly to produce and maintain the very highest quality Brangus possible.
